Uploading and using checklists

Updated over a week ago

This article walks through the process of uploading design review checklists to CoLab, adding checklists to reviews, and exporting checklist data post-review.

Uploading your checklist

As an administrator, navigate to your admin settings.

In the Company > General section, select Checklist Templates. Here you will be able to click on Create checklist template to start the upload.

  • Checklist templates must be uploaded in .csv format. Our system best supports Unicode (UTF-8) format to ensure that all font symbols are properly recognized.

  • .csv files should have two columns: the first for the list item and the second for the description of the list item.

Click and drag a .csv file into the drop zone or upload a .csv file from your desktop.

Preview your checklist and click Upload.

Assigning a checklist to a review

You can add one or more checklists during review creation or after the review has been created. To add checklists upon review creation, simply select one or more checklists from the Checklist dropdown menu.

If your review has already been created, you can add checklists from the Checklists menu.

Associating feedback with checklist items

Pinning feedback while a checklist item is open will link that piece of feedback with the checklist item, making it easier to understand which comments support each item on your checklist.

Alternatively, with a checklist item open you can select Linked Feedback to link an existing feedback item with the respective checklist item.

Passing and failing checklist items

Reviewers can designate whether checklist items have passed or failed, and leave notes if desired.

Exporting checklist data

Checklist data is exportable as a zip file containing 4 CSVs. To export your checklist data, open the Checklists menu, navigate to the menu at the top, and select Export checklist metadata.

You can access this when viewing all checklists in the list view:
