Updating your CoLab account settings

Access your CoLab account settings

You can access your account settings from any page in CoLab by clicking on the company name in the top left corner, and selecting 'My account'.

Update your account settings

For non-admin users, there will be two sets of account settings available: Profile and Notifications.

Profile

In the 'Profile' section, you can edit the following options:

  • Profile avatar: Upload a profile avatar so you are easily identifiable to your team. Your profile photo and details will be visible to your team and external users that you work with in CoLab.

  • Profile details: We recommend filling out all of your profile details to make it easy for your team to identify and contact you.

    • First name (required)

    • Last name (required)

    • Email (read only)

    • Username (required)

    • Job Title (optional)

    • Phone number (optional)

  • Password: You can request a password reset, which will send you an email with instructions to reset your password.

  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): You can enable MFA meaning you will be prompted to enter a verification code, in addition to your password, each time you log in. This is recommended for increased account security.

Notifications

This section allows you to customise your in-app and email notifications. You can choose from one of the preset options:

  • Notify me of everything.

  • Only workspace/portal invites, mentions and feedback assignments.

  • Only workspace/portal invites and mentions.

  • No notifications.

Alternatively, you an choose the 'Custom preset' option, and use the 'Advanced settings' section to customise the which notifications you get and to where (i.e. in-app and/or email).

Change language

You can use CoLab in a number of languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese. To change the application's language click on the company name in the top left corner and click in the language menu. From here you can select your desired language.

Note: Only hard-coded text will be translated. Dynamic text (i.e. text you have entered, such as file names) will not be translated.
