Installing the CoLab Active Workspace extension supports the integration of CoLab with Teamcenter. This guide will help with installation, repairs, and uninstallation of the extension.

Prerequisites

There are two prerequisites to installing the CoLab Active Workspace extension:

1. You must have Active Workspace installed on your Teamcenter server. See the Active Workspace 6.0 Installation docs on the Siemens Support Center for more information.
2. You must have the ZIP file for the CoLab Active Workspace extension, currently colab-active-workspace-extension-1.1.0.zip
   

   Note: if you don't have the extension file, you can email support@colabsoftware.com to request it from our Technical Support team.

Installation

To install the extension on your Teamcenter Active Workspace environment:

1. Ensure that Teamcenter or Active Workspace are not running.
2. Extract the contents of the extension zip file. This should contain a folder named aws63-colab-integration.
3. Copy the aws63-colab-integration folder to your TC_ROOT/AWS2/STAGE/SRC/ folder.
4. Add the aws63-colab-integration module to your kit.json configuration. For more information, see Siemens' official documentation on Kits.
5. Run the awbuild.sh (or awbuild.cmd if you are on Windows) command to compile and deploy the extension. This command lives in TC_ROOT/AWS2/STAGE/.

After awbuild has finished running, refreshing the Active Workspace web application should now display the CoLab integration in the right sidebar.
