CoLab is able to summarize design reviews in seconds with AI-generated summary reports. This article explains how 

AI summaries of closed reviews

AI-generated review summaries are automatically generated when a review closes and can be found under the “Insights” tab in the right panel when a selected file is open.

Please note that AI-generated summaries will only appear for reviews that close after the AI-assisted review summary setting is enabled from company settings.

Generating a review summary

With AI review summaries enabled, simply close a review and navigate to the Insights tab, where an AI-assisted review summary will be generated for you.

Exporting a review summary

You can export a review summary in PDF format by selecting Export summary report from the dropdown menu within the Insights tab.

AI review summaries will consist of 3 sections:

• Summary: A brief summary of the people involved & activities during a review.
• Activities: A bulleted list of the main review activities that took place during a review.
• Takeaways: A bulleted list of takeaways based on the review activities. This could include points of interest, opportunity areas, or important callouts based on how the review went.

How to enable AI review summaries

By default, this feature is disabled and will not analyze any of your data until explicitly enabled by a company admin. Once enabled, AI review summaries will automatically be generated for new reviews that close, starting from the moment the setting is enabled.

Company admins can follow these steps to enable AI review summaries:

1. Reach out to support@colabsoftware.com to request access to AI review summaries, then:
2. As a company admin, go to Company settings
3. Under Review settings, toggle on the “Allow automatic AI-assisted review summary report generation” setting
4. Before saving your updated review settings, you’ll be presented with an AI disclaimer (see below) - accept to enable
