This article walks through the process of setting up a review in CoLab.
Getting started: Access or create a workspace
From the home page, find or search for the Project Workspace. If it doesn't exist, you can create a new Workspace.
Pro tip: If you're unsure whether a Project Workspace already exists, check with your CoLab Admins.
Prepare the Required File(s)
You can upload your files from your desktop or via one of CoLab's CAD & PLM integrations.
To upload a file from your desktop, go to Drive, select '+ New,' and then 'Upload a file.'
If your files or folders are already in Drive, right-click anywhere in Drive and select 'Upload a file.'
You can upload to a folder by right clicking on existing folders and selecting ‘Upload file to folder.’
[Optional] Package the Files
You can group files together for review by creating a Package.
To create a package, select the files in Drive, right-click, and select 'Create package.'
If you want to package all files within a folder, right click on the folder and select ‘Create package.’
Any packages you create can be accessed from the left-hand menu in Drive.
[Optional] Create Saved Views
In CoLab, you can create saved views to express design review scope or intent. This helps direct reviewers to specific areas under review and saves time by avoiding the need to recreate the same view repeatedly.
To create the desired view state, select the ‘eye’ icon in the 3D toolbar to create the saved view.
Creating a review
Open your desired file, or multi-select files from Drive, then click ‘Request Review’.
Give your review a title, due date, one or more checklists (optional), and a description.
Add your reviewers.
Bulk Request Review
Multi-select the files in Drive that you want to request a review on, select ‘Request Review.’
Each file will have its own trackable review created with the same review name, review details, and reviewers.
