Use the CoLab Integration for Siemens NX

Learn how to sign in, upload models, and understand upload behavior when using the CoLab integration for Siemens NX.

The CoLab integration for Siemens NX lets you upload CAD models directly from NX to CoLab for design review and collaboration.

Prerequisites

Before using the integration, ensure that:

  • You have a valid CoLab account

  • You have access to at least one CoLab workspace

  • The CoLab integration is installed in Siemens NX

Open the CoLab Integration

  1. Open a model in Siemens NX

  2. Click CoLab in the NX ribbon

This opens the CoLab window.

Sign In

  1. In the CoLab window, click Sign In with CoLab

  2. Your browser will open for authentication

  3. Enter your CoLab credentials

  4. If prompted to authorize the integration, review the requested permissions and click Accept

  5. Once authentication is complete, return to NX and click OK

Upload a Model

  1. Click the CoLab button

  2. Confirm the selected file

  3. Select a Workspace

  4. Click Upload to CoLab

ℹ️ The integration uploads the currently open model and any referenced components required for the assembly.

When the upload completes, you can:

  • Click Open in CoLab to view the uploaded model

  • Click Close to dismiss the dialog

  • Click Upload to Another Workspace to upload the same model elsewhere.

Sign Out

To sign out of the CoLab integration:

  1. Open the CoLab window

  2. Click Sign Out

Notes

  • Assemblies include referenced child components automatically

  • Teamcenter-managed parts are supported

  • Drawings are uploaded as PDFs
