We’ve redesigned the main navigation experience to make it faster and more predictable to orient yourself, find work, and take action in CoLab.
Here's what's new.
A persistent main sidebar with global options
You can now keep the main sidebar expanded or collapsed for focus work.
You'll find Search, Home, My Work, Drive, Notifications, and your Workspace switcher here, and under your global options 3 collapsable and rearrangeable sections: Favourites, Recently viewed, and Track.
A consistent workspace/portal "secondary" sidebar
This is where you'll find Drive, Portals, Reviews, Feedback, and Settings for those workspaces or portals.
Improved breadcrumbs
Track your spot in CoLab easily and clearly from Company > Workspace > Portal > File > Revision. Switch workspaces and portals directly from breadcrumbs.
Updated Company, Workspace, and Portal home pages
Data widgets have been added to Workspace and Portal home pages for high-level space information (like number of files, open feedback, open reviews, members/guests/Portal Admins, and for workspaces, what portals exist there).
We also added widget switchers - for the company home page, you can switch around the workspaces list, on the workspace home page you can switch around recent portals, on the portals page you can switch around recent feedback, and for all home pages you can see recent files and our "My work" feature.
Temporary opt-out
You can temporarily opt out of this new navigation and quickly switch between the old and new navigation experience as you get comfortable.
To do this,
click on your Company at the top of your left navigation bar, and
select the toggle in the menu that appears there.
To reactivate from the old navigation,
click on your initials in the lower left corner of the screen, and
select the toggle in the menu that appears there.
