In this article, we'll go over the steps for a CoLab admin to install the CoLab app for Slack. Only admin users are able to initially install integrations in CoLab, but once installed all CoLab users will be able to activate the app on Slack.
Installing the app from your CoLab Integrations page
To install the Slack integration, navigate to your Settings & Admin panel.
Head to the Integrations page and select the Slack integration tile.
This will bring you to a Slack integration modal. Click the "Connect" button in the top right of the modal to install.
You will be redirected here to Slack, which will ask you to confirm that you want to add the app and outline the app permissions granted by the installation.
Slack admin approval
Depending on your Slack workspace settings, the installation may require Slack Admin approval. This request will be directly sent to Slack admins. We recommend that you follow-up with those admins to let them know the nature of the request.
In this case, once approved by a Slack admin, the CoLab admin may need to select Connect again.
