Creating GD&T Markup

Updated over a week ago

CoLab's GD&T markup tool allows you to annotate 2D or 3D designs with feature control frames and GD&T symbols. Here's how it works:

Creating GD&T markup on a 3D Model

To create GD&T annotations on a 3D model:

  1. Open any 3D model in the CoLab interface.

  2. Select the pin tool from the markup toolbar to create a feedback item on the model.

  3. Click on the GD&T tool in the markup toolbar to open the GD&T symbol selection.

  4. Create a feature control frame using GD&T symbols.

  5. Save your feedback.

Creating GD&T markup on a PDF

To create GD&T annotations on a PDF:

  1. Open the drawing or PDF file in the CoLab interface.

  2. Selecting the GD&T tool will automatically initiate the creation of a feedback item.

  3. Create a feature control frame using GD&T symbols.

  4. Save your feedback to apply your annotations to PDF.
