You can access your most recent files from the Home Page without having to navigate to a workspace. You can view recent files (alongside recently-accessed workspaces and portals) by clicking on the file in the Recently viewed section. The workspace name is also displayed for these files.
A grid of your most recent files will be similarly displayed in the viewer when you open a workspace.
