Key activity: Capturing and discussing VA/VE ideas
In CoLab you can use tags to conveniently group themes of ideas.
To add a tag to a feedback item, click the Add Tags button and select any desired tags from the dropdown list.
Why use tags?
VA/VE teams use tags to uncover big opportunity areas.
You can identify which tag has the most ideas or most savings, and it may be worthwhile to look at those areas across different product lines to see if you can capture easy savings elsewhere.
This information can be found in Insights and be used to drive continuous improvement within a review.
Furthermore, filtering by tag in the feedback tracker, and calculating total savings of ideas with specific tags will allow you to compare the opportunity value per tag.
