Add Feedback Using 3D Pins

Add Feedback Using 3D Pins

Create an issue using the 3D pin to communicate feedback

Feedback is communicated in CoLab by creating an ‘Issue’. To create an Issue using the 3D pin:

  1. Feedback is communicated in CoLab by creating an ‘Issue’. To create an Issue using the 3D pin:
  2. Click the Pin tool on the 3D model toolbar. Your cursor will change to a ‘+’ icon, this indicates that you can now drop a 3D pin
  3. Drop the pin on the desired part on the model. The part will then be tied to the issue you’re about to create

4. Hit ‘Save’

5. Click the person icon to assign the issue to a user in the Workspace. The user will receive a notification that you assigned them to an issue

Want to flag multiple parts under one issue? No problem!

Here’s how to include multiple pins under one issue:

  1. Click the Pin tool on the 3D model toolbar
  2. Before you summarize the issue, drop another pin(s). You can add as many pins as you want under one issue
  3. Once you’ve dropped as many pins as you want, hit ‘Save’
  4. Assign the issue to a user in the Workspace. The user will receive a notification that you assigned them to an issue
  • When using an issue to note something that is more ‘for information’ versus an action, select the ‘Informational’ status instead of ‘To Do’
  • Issues can be assigned to users that are in the Workspace
